This must be one of the strangest guesthouses in the world. When you visit Vietnam and travel through the city of Dalat, this is definitely the place to stay for a couple of nights.
The building looks like a fantasy fairy tale house with strange, sometimes spooky organic rocky and wooden structures. The corridors inside look like tunnels and the rooms resemble caves. A very cosy atmosphere with humorous details like a statue of a kangeroo or lion in the room.

The architect
The Vietnamese architect Hang Nga started her weird building project under the not so flexible scrutiny of the Vietnamese government. But, since she is the daughter of a very high ranking communist Vietnamese politician, her strange architectural style was accepted and she was allowed to build her wonderful Crazy House. There is a room with a wall full of pictures of her father and his role in Vietnamese history. She still lives in the house and you can meet her when you stay there.
Around Dalat
The area around Dalat is great for hiking! A guide can take you through the hills and forests crossing the rivers on very simple hanging bridges. On the way you meet the local farmers and visit a little hilltop village.
